Pursuit production that wins at scale

Three major competitive design-build awards during Robert’s tenure at Lemartec, each requiring coordinated multi-party pursuit production, creative direction, and asset management under hard public procurement deadlines.

$600.6M

MIA South Terminal · Concourse K

Lemartec-NV2A JV design-build win for Miami-Dade County. Robert coordinated dozens of firms submitting pursuit portions, directed all creative and document layout, managed outsourced architectural animation from an international vendor, and set up the AV and presentation technology for the live executive presentation. Competing bid: $743M. Won on price and county scoring.

$345M

PortMiami Cruise Terminal G

Lemartec-NV2A JV design-build win for Royal Caribbean Group and Celebrity Cruises. Pursued nearly concurrently with MIA Concourse K: same JV, same production model, same period. Running two $300M+ public procurement submissions at once is itself a proof point of execution capacity. Groundbreaking: January 2026.

$136M

MIA Park 6 Flamingo Garage Extension

Lemartec-only competitive win, no JV partner. Awarded October 2023 during Robert’s tenure, part of MIA’s $7B Next Chapter capital improvement program. Demonstrates Lemartec’s standalone competitive credibility in major public infrastructure. Groundbreaking: February 2024.

Professional experience

Four career chapters, one consistent pattern

Joined organizations at inflection points, mastered the disciplines available, and left something that outlasted the tenure. Every time.

01
Director of Marketing & Communications
Lemartec Corporation, a MasTec company
July 2022 – November 2025 · Miami, FL

Led the full marketing function for a major EPC and construction firm through a period of aggressive growth. The scope was wide: brand, digital, proposals, website, social media, content, internal communications, events, and vendor coordination. Company revenue grew from $150M to $700M over those three years, driven by competitive bid wins that the marketing and pursuit work supported.

  • Rebuilt Lemartec.com from scratch, then owned content, SEO, and performance tracking through GA4 on an ongoing basis.
  • Managed all digital channels: social, email, blog, video, and digital advertising. Grew the organic social following 900% over the tenure.
  • Coordinated complex multi-firm proposal submissions, managing input from JV partners, subconsultants, and internal departments under hard deadlines. The internal shorthand for it was corralling cats.
  • Directed creative layout, document organization, and asset management for every pursuit submission. Outdated project profiles or resumes can kill a multi-million dollar pursuit, so that discipline was taken seriously.
  • Built a SharePoint asset database of project profiles, construction resumes, and success stories so submissions always used current, accurate information.
  • Developed a first-version AI tool to analyze past RFP submissions and pull the details that made projects notable, built as the technology became viable and still early when the tenure ended.
  • Ran Lemartec’s internal communications on MasTec Empower, the platform shared across all 30+ MasTec subsidiaries, and built the participation that earned Lemartec the highest employee engagement in the organization.
  • Produced full bilingual (English and Spanish) communications for a major subcontractor event in Puerto Rico, from invitations through all print and digital collateral.
02
Senior Marketing Strategist
Ritter’s Communications
December 2017 – July 2022 · Fort Lauderdale, FL

Managed all marketing for a B2B direct mail and multi-channel firm serving real estate, education, nonprofits, and professional services. Introduced MindFire, a SaaS platform connecting physical direct mail to digital channels through behavioral engagement scoring, which opened new product lines and expanded what the business could sell.

  • Grew the B2B prospect pipeline 35% during the pandemic by pivoting to verticals with urgent communication needs, real estate, education, political, and nonprofits, before competitors recognized the shift. Growth was even across all four, a deliberate multi-audience strategy rather than a lucky vertical bet.
  • Ran multi-channel campaigns averaging a 28% engagement rate across direct mail, email, social, remarketing, webinars, and PPC.
  • Designed and launched three new lead-generation product offerings based on market research and gaps in the existing lineup.
  • Moved a CPA firm client from page two to a consistent top-three search position through SEO.
03
VP of Marketing & Communications
Worldwide Ticket Craft, acquired by Weldon, Williams & Lick
April 2005 – December 2017 · Boynton Beach, FL

Started as the founding designer at a six-person startup serving entertainment venues, sports teams, theaters, universities, and cultural attractions. Grew into VP of Marketing over 12 years as the company scaled nationally. Revenue grew from $500K to $10M+, ending in acquisition by the largest admissions solutions provider in North America.

  • Built and launched the company’s first e-commerce platform between 2011 and 2013, ahead of a clear market shift as box office managers began designing their own tickets. The platform is still in use today.
  • Managed the full marketing function across digital, print, email, social, events, and advertising for a multinational client portfolio.
  • Handled the marketing side of the acquisition transition: website handover, client migration, and institutional knowledge transfer.

The differentiator

What’s consistent across every role

The industries change. The pattern doesn’t.

“I operate equally well on both sides of the marketing brain, the creative and the strategic. Most people lean heavily one way. I’ve spent my career developing both intentionally, and the result is that I’m most useful when the work is complex, the stakes are real, and someone needs to bring order, clarity, and quality all at once.” Robert Caicedo
